Depleted Uranium, America's Dirty Secret

Updated on October 23, 2012

What is Depleted Uranium?

I researched for days for this hub and then I ran across a hub by Army Infantry Mom that was awesome. Hats off to her for being concerned and raising awarenss of something alot don't know about. Aside from her great hub I would like to share with you what Depleted Uranium is doing not only to unborn innocent Iraqi newborns with horrifying birth defects, but also some insight into the research being done on Post War Veterans and their offspring suffering from unexplained illnesses after documentation of DU exposure.

I have shared a personal experience with someone who was a Gulf War Veteran.  He ha been diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome.  In 1991 while in Iraq he wa exposed to DU when during "Friendly Fire" or in other words an American bombs were dropped "accdently" on his troops.  He at that time got shrapnel into his spine, it was not removed until years later.  The shrapnel came from a shell which contained DU.  It was also inhaled when the bomb exploded.

In a statement made to the Department of Veterans Association  it states " Among Gulf War Veterans, there are known instances where Service members were hit by coalition fire and ae believed to still have DU fragments present in their bodies."  This information was obtained by an anonymous souce.

My friend in the last year as lost his left kidney.  No two doctors could confirm a diagnosis.  Exposure to DU especially for a long period of time, inhaled by smoke, dust particles and drinking water could have exposed.  There has yet to be a name for this disease. It attacks your vital organs, the brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver and pancreas.

These are just a few of lots of pics, I could only stomach a few

The Offspring of Iraq

The women in Iraq were exposed to DU at very high levels. The fathers were also exposed due to the same conditions but at an even higher rate. Their unborn children were brought into this world with painfully and horrifying birth defects. DU was in their drinking water as well as the soil. I have posted ome pics of babies born in Iraq after exposure to DU and I urge you to proceed with caution, these pictures are awful. Exactly what is the price of freedom? What have these innocent children done to deserve to live a short life of pain, minimal healthcare and suffering parents?

Does the Government know?

"It has been openly acknowledged that the US used banned radioactive materials such as DU in Military conflicts that have occurred throughout the World since 1991. The Gulf War, in Bosnia from 1995 to 1998, the Balkans War, in which the US helped Britain and the invasions of Iraq in 2005 and thereafter".

The United States, Israel, UK, United Kingdom, Spain and the Netherlands voted against pulling DU from use.

YES THE GOVERNMENT IS WELL AWARE OF THE DANGERS OF DU. WHAT THEY WILL DO ABOUT IS YET TO BE SEEN..........

Studies done on Offspring of Post War

There have been studies done on Post War Veterans and their offspring.  Since 1991 Post War Veterans offspring their have been numerous instances where children were born with Congenital malfunctions.  Their have been offspring that were born with no eyes or ears, congenital heart disease and webbed fingers or toes. .  Rare birth defects such as Phocomelia have been on the up rise and continues.  There has also been an increase in Goldenhar Syndrome and babies born with Down Syndrome.  These are just a few studies that have been released discussing the birth defects in American Children from Post War Veterans who were exposed to DU.
